Mountain Paradise
About The Project
This home was a lifelong dream for the couple who built it, and every detail reflects how they live. The great room soars with high ceilings and a floor-to-ceiling river rock fireplace, anchoring a space designed around their love of the Northwest outdoors. Hickory wood floors, his-and-hers walk-in closets, a large custom tile shower, and a hammered copper soaking tub carry that same intention through every room. The covered outdoor deck matches the footprint of the living room itself, built for the kind of gatherings they had always imagined, with unobstructed views of the Rogue Valley and the Coast Range mountains that catch the sunset every single evening.
Every board in this home was locally sourced Oregon timber, which required careful coordination to ensure consistent quality from supply through framing. Getting the river rock installation right, floor to ceiling, with the scale and proportion the design called for, took real craft and close attention on site.
They came in knowing exactly what they wanted and needed a builder willing to follow that vision wherever it led, not redirect it toward easier options. Jason worked with them through every custom element, from the cabinet profiles to the copper tub, making sure the home that got built matched the one they had been picturing for years.
